Profile: Maria Jenson

Maria Jenson launched ArtPadSF at the Phoenix Hotel, an independent art fair, with Chip Conley in 2011.  ArtPadSF had a successful three year run. Currently Maria is a member of the External Relations team at SFMOMA and holds the position of Community Relations Public Partnerships where she develops and implements public engagement strategies for the museum as it undergoes a 225,000 square foot expansion. She works across the museum on a variety of projects and initiatives, and is the museum’s cultural and civic ambassador. She is on the launch committee for Sites Unseen, a public art project activating several SF alleys, is a member of Arts for a Better Bay Area, is on the launch team for Code and Canvas, a tech-based artist in residency program recently launched in SF, and is a board member of KALA in Berkeley.
