BLACK ARTS TAKE CENTER STAGE AT SAN FRANCISCO’S FIRST BLACK ARTS INDUSTRY CONFERENCE
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — September 4, 2015 – Join Black artists and arts professionals as they re-examine and reinvent the art world at RE[FRAME], a day-long Arts Industry conference at the Museum of the African Diaspora. The RE[FRAME] Arts Industry Conference will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 11 am to 6 pm. Admission is free with museum entrance, with limited free tickets available at reframeart.com. Presented by 3.9 Art Collective and produced by A Simple Collective, RE[FRAME] is a unique look at all aspects of the art industry through the eyes and experience of Black artists and arts professionals. RE[FRAME] will present discussion forums on industry trends, multidisciplinary works by Black artists, and professional development workshops. Portfolio reviews, networking and exhibition opportunities will also be provided for participating artists.
“Open to everyone, RE[FRAME] positions Black creatives as experts and leaders, bringing them from the margins to the center of the Art World’s conscience,” says conference organizer, Rhiannon MacFadyen.
